On June 16th “Joyce to the World” premieres simultaneously in 10 cities worldwide. From Symphony Space in NYC to the Sponto Gallery in Venice, CA, from Melbourne, Australia to Sarasota, Florida, fans of James Joyce’s novel Ulysses will gather to celebrate Bloomsday and watch “Joyce to the World.” The documentary premieres in Dublin in July. Featuring Brian Dennehy, Fionnula Flanagan, Frank McCourt, Senator David Norris, and passionate readers from Kobe College to Kansas City, "Joyce to the World" is truly an international odyssey. 
“Joyce to the World” plumbs the depths of the Joycean subculture, exploring the most famous book of the 20th century that no one’s actually read. It is a seriously funny and irreverent look at literary societies and reenactments. The recipient of finishing funds from the Women in Film Foundation http://www.wif.org/docs/51.html, it was directed by Fritzi Horstman, written by Diana J. Wynne and produced by Fritzi Horstman, Diana J. Wynne and Andrew MacNaughton. 
Fritzi Horstman’s first feature TAKE A NUMBER debuted on HBO and Cinemax. She works as an associate producer on Movies of the Week for Paramount, CBS and TNT and is currently working on a television movie starring Aidan Quinn and Dean Cain entitled “Mayday.” This documentary provides extensive biographical background, affirming Joyce’s place in literature and Irish history as a brilliant, irreverent emissary of a rich cultural tradition.
